A domestic thriller with all the ingredients of a book you won't want to put down!
Dual timelines and alternating POVs helped maintain interest through the longer-style chapters.
Also very timely for part of the narrative to include people overlooking other people's very terrible behavior for the sake of "keeping the peace". The way the wealthy behave around reputation and appearances played a huge part in this story and I loved it.

As someone who has followed McCreight on social media for a few years, it was very cool to see her previously chronicle her Kilimanjaro trip and then to see it as a form of inspiration for this book.

I enjoyed this book! Some of the characters annoyed the heck out of me, But for me, that can be a good thing because it means I'm emotionally invested.
