Odelia Babel - fashion mogul and unapologetic powerhouse - is about to marry a man 25 years younger. Asher Bach is hot, talented, and totally obsessed with her. To celebrate, she invites her whole messy family on a luxury safari in South Africa, their go-to escape spot packed with old memories and buried drama.

It’s all champagne, sunsets, and simmering tension - until Odelia turns up dead the morning after a blowout fight with her son, Sam. He swears he was with his twin sister Bailey all night… but Bailey’s MIA.

Now it’s murder in the bush and everyone’s a suspect. Wild animals aren’t the only thing lurking out there - someone in the Babel family has blood on their hands and they’re not done yet.

I loved this book.

I thought about it throughout the day and I couldn't wait to get to it each night. I didn't want to sleep while there was more to unravel.

The characters were interesting and annoying. I loved the pacing of story - something was constantly happening but it didn't feel dramatic or fantastical. It just felt like a modern day toxic family. I also enjoyed the layers of secrecy that unfold throughout the story.

The twist caused me to make this face 😱

It gave me Knives Out with safari resort vibes.
