Granny is pulled out of retirement to continue to hide her secret pre-retirement job as a Serial Killer when a girl shows up asking her way too many questions.
This is my first Samantha Downing book and I feel like it was a good place to start. Fun, unique premise forcing me to feel compassionate toward a murderer. That’s no easy feat for me.
This book was really F U N. That might be weird to say regarding a story about an aging granny who also is retired serial killer who is thrust back into the world of murder and disposing of bodies.
Some of it is definitely a bit unrealistic but not in a way that I got hung up on. There’s a bit of a Dexter vibe to this story because I found myself rooting for Lottie throughout the cat and mouse game she was playing.
Vibes it gave me:
